Join us on a fantastic day out where we take a trip back in time and take a ride on a heritage steam train where you can admire the wonderful view of the beautiful Mendip Countryside, while enjoying a traditional three course Sunday Lunch on the Mendip Belle Dining Carrage.

 

Menu

 

Melon:  

Slices of mixed melon with raspberry, served with a homemade raspberry vinegarette.

Ardennes Pate with Rustic Bread:

Course Ardennes pate served with local rustic bread and fresh mixed salad.

Prawn Cocktail:

Classic prawn cocktail served with homemade Marie Rose sauce & lemon.

 

Main Course

Beef and Doombar Ale Pie:

Individual hand finished butter enriched shortcrust pastry pie with British beef in a DoomBar Ale Gravy.

Coq Au Vin:

Chicken breast cooked in red wine bacon and shallots.

Vege:

Homemade vegetarian Cassoulet bursting with beans and vegetarian meatballs.

 

Dessert

Apple Crumble and Custard:

Homemade apple crumble and custard.

Toffee and Pear Torte:

A generous slice of sponge torte with pear, topped with Toffee and served with icecream.

Somerset Cheese Board & Crackers:

Three cheeses served with crackers and chuckney. Caved-aged Cheddar, Cricket-st-Thomas Brie & Stilton.
