3 Day Tour - Somerset shopping Weekend staying at the 3* Wessex Hotel Street

Staying at the 3* Wessex Hotel which is situated in the centre of Street for this weekend break. All the en-suite bedrooms have a brand new bathrooms and furniture with soft furnishing in complimentary natural tones. Day 1 Bristol

 

Shopping in Bristol comes in all shapes and sizes.

Whether you’re looking for a tiny pop-up selling locally designed fashion or a whopping great mall with everything under one roof – this city really is the shopping capital of the South West.

You can take a leisurely stroll around the Regency streets of Clifton Village and peruse its posh boutiques.

You can head to Bristol Shopping Quarter and flit between High Street staples and  one-off wonders.

If you prefer to shop whilst taking in some local history, have a gander at the many traders of the cobbled Old City. Old Market, too, is a fascinating place and currently experiencing a resurgence in popularity.

And don't forget Wapping Wharf - Bristol's newest district and a hub of exciting independent businesses in shipping containers just a stone's throw from the harbour.

Bristol is fiercely proud of its independent  restaurants, bars and  cafes and is home to an award-winning array of them.

Maybe you’ve heard of Pieminister? The quirky creations from this homegrown pie shop are loved and devoured far and wide… everyone from Kate Moss to the Queen has tried one.

One thing is certain , you will not be stuck for choice of where to eat .. 

 

Day 2 Taunton

 

From local independent to well-known high street names Taunton has something for everyone.

You will find all your favourite shops under one roof at the Orchard shopping centre,  a diverse shopping experience with stores across Fashion, Health & Beauty, Food & Drink, Gifts and more. The area is also a hub of independent and specialist shops unique to Orchard.

Taunton is a big metropolis in Somerset with great high street shopping. Okay, maybe not a metropolis but we remember it from childhood holidays as a small town and now there are shops of every size and type lining several streets. We start in the North with the shops on Bridge St, coming down through North Street and then into the High Street. Then we move from West to East along Corporation St, Fore St and East Street.

 

Day 3 Clarkes Village

Nestled in the heart of Somerset in the centre of Street you will find Clarks Village Designer Shopping Outlet. You will see traditional paved walkways, beautiful landscaped gardens, a stylish resturant terrece with indoor and outdoor dining and a choice of coffee shops. There are over 90 stores offering huge savings everday on a fantastic range of designer labels and famous brands. With a choice of stores  selling everything from fashion and footwear to gifts and accessories all with 60% off everyday, so if you are looking for bargain then Clarks Village is a place not to be missed. After a busy morning shopping you can return to the hotel and enjoy Sunday lunch before we start our journey home.
